Sclerotherapy is a well established medical technique that has been performed since the 1920s and is still the most successful medical treatment for this condition. It is carried out by nurses and doctors who have had specific training in this field of medicine.
HOW IT WORKS
A fine needle is inserted into the vein and an injection of a sclerosing agent is administered. Over a period of time, after a series of treatments, the capillary walls shrink together and the vessels will close down. As the vessels shut down and less blood passes through, elimination of the vessels will occur.
